How can I book an appointment?
Please call 0141-258-2424 for an appointment or for more information. We always aim to offer a first appointment within 24 hours.
What should I wear to an appointment?
If attending an appointment for neck, shoulder or arm pain please bring a vest top. If attending for a foot, ankle, knee or hip pain, please bring a pair of shorts or loose jogging trousers.
Can I bring a chaperone to my appointment?
If you feel more comfortable please do not hesitate to bring someone with you to your assessment and treatment sessions.
What qualifications do you hold?
Our physiotherapists are all registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and members of the “Chartered Society of Physiotherapy” we all comply to our code of professional condict which ensures that we maintain our continuing professional development (CPD) keeping our practice evidence based and up to date.
When should I see a Physio?
You should make an appointment to see us if you are struggling with pain, stiffness, tightness or weakness. You may have had a specific injury or more often not be aware of why the Pain has started.
Why should I see a physio at LA Phsyiotherapy and Sports injury clinic?
At LA Physio we pride ourselves on our holistic and hands on approach to assessment and treatment. We will complete a thorough assessment, firstly by asking you lots of questions about your Pain/injury, then have a look at how you are moving etc, you will be given a diagnosis and treatment started immediately.
Do I need GP referral to see a physiotherapist?
No – you can self refer to LA Physiotherapist. In some circumstances we may suggest you see your GP.
If you are claiming health insurance you may need to see or speak to your GP prior to obtaining an authorisation code from your health care provider.
Is my treatment covered by my Health insurance, eg Bupa, Axa, Aviva?
We are covered by the majority of Health Insurance companies. Axa PPP Cigna Prudential Vitality BupaAviva WPA Westfield – Any others, please give us a call and we can confirm
– Once you have had your treatment authorised by your insurance, if you give us your authorisation code and membership number and we can invoice directly.
How long does an appointment take?
The length of treatment depends on a number of factors including:
- The area of injury
- The type of injury
- Your stage of recovery
- How much pain you are in
- How irritable your symptoms are
An initial assessment is usually 30-45 minutes and follow up appointments 30 mins, unless discussed previously.
Should I bring anything to my treatment session?
Yes, if you have a recent referral, any scan or XR or any important information related to you complaint/injury, bring them and give it to your Physio. A list of your current medication.
Cancellation policy
It is understandable that cancellations happen, we ask that you provide as much notice as possible, you can let us know by phone or email.
